Affairs." The picture shows the surrounding roads and buildings.
|
The Hsinchu County Bureau of Cultural Affairs is located in Jhubei
City, Hsinchu County. The Bureau's building incorporates elements of traditional
Hakka architecture, including Weilong house, round tower, enclosed yard,
and courtyard. Inside the building are a performance hall, library, art
museum, and cultural plaza. It is as multifunctional house of culture combining
cultural, recreational, collecting, and information functions. |
|
The basement level is laid out like a Hakka village. The three aboveground
floors have a complex structure that creates many views of both inside
and outside the building. The outer wall is made of red brick on top and
a layer of stones on the bottom. In front of the building, trails along
both sides of Douzihpu Creek are provided for public recreation. Public
art has been used very innovatively in many spots.
