This camera is located at the government office in Kaohsiung's Yancheng District. The picture shows the Love River and some nearby buildings.

The Yancheng District is located in the southern part of Kaohsiung City, near Kaohsiung Harbor. It is sheltered by Mt. Shou on the left and embraced by the Love River on the right. The district is flat and roughly triangular in shape. It is the smallest administrative unit in Kaohsiung City.

The gently flowing Love River once played an important role in local transportation, but now has mainly recreational uses. Poets have written of the Love River, and many love stories have taken place along its banks. Kaohsiung is justly proud of this romantic, colorful river. 　　The Love River has undergone many changes over the course of time. The river was once severely polluted, but the government, businesses, artists, and citizens have since joined together to clean up the river and restore its beauty. After NT$4 billion was spent on cleanup efforts, the river now shines with natural vitality. The green park lining both sides of the river is a very attractive urban space. When night comes and the riverside lamps go on, the park comes alive with strollers soaking up the romantic atmosphere.
