The Beauty of Shedding the Tide
  Ximen Reservoir is located in the Dahan River Valley, at Longtan Village, Taoyuan, possessing the function of irrigation, power generation, water supply, flood prevention, and sightseeing. It contributes greatly to agricultural improvement and industrial development in northern Taiwan. Ximen Reservoir has an irregular outline, with beautiful scenery on the banks. The famous sightseeing spots are the clearway around the reservoir and the dam of it, offer lake and mountain views. During the typhoon season in summer and autumn, you can see the grandeur scene of the shedding of the tide. Because of the changes in season, it is difficult to maintain the water level; therefore, the authorities always remind people to save water.  
     
 
Lover’s Bridge Glittering at Sunset
  The “Fishermen’s Pier of Dansui” was originally a traditional fishing harbor, located on the right bank of the Dansui River. Under the endeavor of the Taipei County Government, it was transformed into a multifunction leisure fishing harbor, with a gorgeous floating pier, a 332m long lover’s wooden path, seaside café, and extravagant harbor park, etc. With the breeze weaving, it is an ideal place for lovers as well as the whole family to loiter. During the daytime, it is marvelous to watch the Kuanyin mountain and Dansui River bank. At night, it is romantic to enjoy the view of the floating lights on the sea to experience the atmosphere of fishing in northern Taiwan.
